Mexico has a total
population of approximately 104.9 million with one of the fastest
population growth rates in the world. Mexico is slightly larger than
the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, Canada, yet the
population of Mexico City alone is four times the population of those
provinces. Spanish is the principal language; Roman Catholicism is
the nominal religion of 95% of the people. There is religious
freedom and, as result, there are about 180 assemblies in the country.
