Peru, stretching along 1,500 miles of Pacific Ocean, is divided by the Andes Mountains into costal area, mountains, and jungles to the east.  The population is about 27.1 million and there are two official languages -  Spanish and Quechua.  90% of the people claim to be Roman Catholic.  There are 130 assemblies in Peru.
